3rd August 2010 was the first death anniversary of Dharmaj Ratna & Shalin Manav Ratna Late Shri Jashbhai G. Patel (Bapu). A programme of “Krirtan Aaradhana” (Devotional Songs) was arranged by his family and Jawahar Club jointly. Jawahar club was founded in 1937 by Shri Jashbhai himself. Youths of BAPS performed the programme in a very professional manner though they all are not so. BAPS Saints P.P. Viveksagar Swami. Rushi Swami and Harivallabh Swami were also present. In his blessing Shri Viveksagarji told that for average person it is said that he or she died but for person like Jashbhai it can be said that he lived the life. He appealed all to work for the fulfillment of Jashbhai’s dream about Dharmaj. He also advised to keep oneself free from addictions. P. P. Pramukhswamji has a special blessing for Jashbhai and Dharmaj he added. One of the close aids of Jahsbhai Maheshbhai G. Patel came to Dharmaj all the way from U. K especially for this day. He also shared his experience with Jashbhai. Among the dignitaries present there was Shri C. L. Patel (Chairman-Charutar Vidhya Mandal), Shri Vikrambhai C. Patel (Bhaikaka’s Grandson and Chairman-Charutar Grammodhdhar Sahakari Mandal Ltd). People from distance places were present to pay homage to Jashbhai. A trust named Jashbhai Gordhanbhai Patel Charitable Trust is working successfully for the last so many years. It support student thosed who have limited resourses and also for the social cause like marriages ect. Today it was declared support of Rs. Fifty thosand by Jawahar Club, Rs. One lac by Maheshbhai G. Patel (U.K.) and Rs. Five lacs by Ganesh Paultry to this trust. Programme was conducted by Rajesh Patel. At the end Chandrakantbhai Patel (Tinubhai) of Jashbhai Family extended vote of thanks.

Patidar Samaj Dharmaj is now proudly called a “Team Dharmaj”. After successfully completing 4th Dharmaj Day on 12th January 2010 the first monthly meeting of members held on 31st January 2010 at Shree Jalaram Temple Dharmaj. It was a day to say big thanks to all who directly or indirectly support Dharmaj Day Celebrations. Though the events was grand success, points to improve further were discussed. Treasurer Shri Rameshbhai Patel gave away brief about accounts for 4th Dharmaj Day. Blue print for the Developments of Town Lake and plantations around it were made. Suggestions to make dust free Dharmaj also came from the members. For 5th Dharmaj Day colour theme is decided and it is Green Colour. It was also discussed about how to implicate the points which were willfully resolved by Dharmajian at 4th Dharmaj Day. Some of point among it are as under; • Dust Free Dharmaj • Green Dharmaj – Clean Dharmaj • Solution of Water Logging problem during monsoon. • Solar Street lights in town. • Marriages to be celebrated with menu of only 11 items. • To support lake development project.

Monthly meeting held on 7th March 2010 at Shree Jalaram Temple. Details of accounts for 4th Dhramaj Day was given by Shri Rameshbhai Patel. It was approved by all members. In continuation of Lake Front Development project meeting held at Gham Panchayat, Team Dharmaj members also decided to support this project whole heratledly. Paper work for the lake development project started and members of Team Dharmaj is taking keen interest in this project. Suggestions to make Documentary film about Dharmaj and to support voluenteerly to panchayat for water meter project in town to save water are also given by members. Mr. Sandeepbhai, Yogeshbhai and Tahirbhai from Bhrucha were invited in this meeting. They gave away the demostration of Magnatic Therapy. Also noted doctor from Borsad Dr. Vijaybhai Thakar (Heart Specialist) were invited. He gave away the speech with multimedia presentations about heart diseases and precautions for the same. Due to examination in schools and collages meeting for March end was cancelled.

Monthly meeting of Dharmaj Patidar Samaj(Team Dharmaj) held on 25th April 2010. Hemant Patel congratulates Rajesh Patel for getting three important posts in April 2010. Details for the Lake Front Project were given and appeal for donation was repeated. Name of awardees for 5Th Dharmaj Day were discussed. Suggestions from member as well as Dharmajian staying out side Dharmaj are taken into consideration. A detail about web site of Dharmaj is given to the members. One Day trip to Akhshardham Gandhinagar was announced. Dharmaj Day event was started in 2007 with zero balance funds. Up to completion of three years there was not sizable balance. From 4th Dharmaj day there is some surplus fund with committee. To maintain transparency a registered trust is formed from this year. Suggestions to start computer classes, cooking classes, Beauty Parlour Training for ladies and disaster Management Course for Student are given by members. It was decided to start tree plantation at Lake Front during moon soon after completion of excavation work. Date for distribution of Note Book and Full Scale Book for student at subsidized rate is confirmed. Being an Annual General Meeting and prize distribution program next meeting is fixed on 6th June -2010. At the end of meeting it was arranged show of famous Gujarati play “Lage Raho Gujjubhai “by DVD. It is a very good social comedy show and every one enjoyed a lot.

Annual General Meeting of Patidar Samaj Dharmaj was held on 06.06.2010 at Shree jalaram Temple. It was also a day to honour students of class 1st to 12th who performed well in education. Function was chaired by Shri Harshadbhai Patel (General Secretary-Guajrat Vyayam Pracharak Mandal). Chief Guest was noted educationist and writer Shri Manilal H. Patel. Nainesh Patel well come the guests while Rajesh Patel gave away the details of events completed in a year and also future plans. Treasure Rameshbhai Patel submitted the annual accounts. Topic for Shri Manilal was “Role of Teachers and Parents in Present Education System” Being an expert of the field he completely mesmerized the audience with good sense of humor. Dharmaj is based on farming so he started with the example that more fertilizers also harmful to the plants and children are like growing plants so we should give everything in limit. Education was started under the tree. It is the real education which taught us that if there will be no tree, we won’t get shadow. Instead of giving importance to honesty and values we are giving weight age to degree, post and salary. So education has given noted engineers, doctors and even saint but it’s fails to prepare true citizen. Educated person must have pride. One can’t teach lesions of values by making syllabus but parents and teachers must have to live life by themselves accordingly to teach children. A bus conductor or even a peon can be successful man after retirement, completing his service with honesty throughout the life. He added that values are what we live in private life. At the end vote of thanks was given by Snehal Patel. Master of Ceremony was Ms. Dipal Patel.

Prize distribution to the students of class 1st to 12th was completed along with Annual General meeting. Prizes were given by Shri Harshadbhai Patel, Shri Manilal Patel, Shri Dr. Rasikbhai Patel (President-Dharmaj Patidar Samaj), Shri Harshadbhai R. Patel (Secretary-DPS), Shri Rameshbhai Patel (Treasurer-DPS), Ms. Ritaben Patel (Sirpanch), Shri Balavantbhai Patel (Chairman-The Dharmaj Peoples Co-Operative Bank Ltd.), Shri Harshadbhai M. Patel (President-Dharmaj Kelavani Mandal), Dilipbhai Patel(NRD), Donners and Social Leaders. Special care is taken in selection of prizes so as it can be useful to receiver.

About 350 to 400 members attended this function on 06.06.2010 to appreciate our children. Members donate generously for this programme. Parents highly appreciate this activity. Students those who received prizes gave their comments in very positive manners. At the end there was tasty Bhaji Pav at dinner table.

Monthly meeting of June- 2010 was held on 30.06.2010. Shri Snehal Patel was congratulated for reinstated as a chairman of Dharmaj Seva Shakari Mandali and Nainesh Patel for appointed as vice president of Petlad Taluka B. J. P. Showing the true Dharmajian spirit The Dharmaj Peoples Co-Operative Bank Ltd. and Dharmaj Seva Shakari mandali Ltd. printed their annual report of this year in green colour which is theme colour of 5th Dharmaj Day. In this meeting Team Dharmaj congratulate both the institutions. Rameshbhai Patel gave away the account of AGM & Prize distribution function and Note Book sale. Devendra Patel agreed to render his services to teach computer. It was also decided to start coaching class for Maths and Science for the students of 10th & 12th if students come out for the such coaching. A detail of an innovative programme was given by Rajesh Patel. Under the name “Vanche Gujarat” it is launched by Chief Minister of Guajrat Shri Narendrabhai Modi. At the end of the meeting Hemant Patel gave away the details of forth coming Vipashyana Sibir at Dharmaj.

On 15th July-2010 Team Dharmaj and members of Lake Front Committee planted more than 550 trees at Lake Front site, Bus Stand Road, The H. M. Patel English Medium Schools Complex, Opp. Government Dispensary and Surajaba Park (Guachar). More than 40 members were present. The plantation at Lake Front site is done with consultation of Architect considering the all aspect of future. Most of the planted trees are indigenous type which is useful to maintain ecological balance. Name of the trees are Borsali, Pipal, Baniyan, Shiv Jata, Kesudo, Buch, Ashok(Saracca Indica), Pride of India(Legestramia), Khad Champa (Plumeria alba), Silver Oke (Grovellea Robust), Blue Kachnar (Bahunia Parpuria), Cassia (Cassia Rainijara), Garmalo (Cassia Fistula), Bottle Brush (Celistimon), Lantana, Golden Bamboo, Sharu (Casuarinas), Ratrani ect.

On 25th July 2010 it was rain at Dharmaj. In the morning there was puja of Guru Purnima at temple and also it was day of Gauri Vrat then also meeting was conducted. Some 20 members were present. Design work for letter head and letter of invitation were given. System to send invitation at U. K. , U.S.A. and Canada is now developed but this time Team Dharmaj will put some extra efforts to reach the Dharmajians staying at other countries like Australia, New Zealand, Africa and other smaller countries too. Place for computer classes were discussed. Harshadbhai Gordhanbhai patel donated Ruppes one lacs. The interest for the same is to be spent for the educational aid for the needy members. This year amount of interest is more than Rupees Six Thousand. If more donors will come out generously than this scheme will be useful to more people.
